Laura is a writer and artist living in Brighton. As a landscape artist, Laura paints in oils to explore the bones of the land below, the feeling of the weather above and the way people move through landscapes. Her painting expresses the ideas and colours that emerge whilst travelling through a landscape. She’s also interested in the domestic landscapes that still life creates.
She studied Geography at Manchester University then worked in marketing for too long before becoming a freelance and creative writer. A course in oil painting in 2016 was the catalyst to start painting seriously and she exhibited in a new gallery in 2018.
She shows work in Sussex and London and joined the Fiveways Artists trail in 2019. Laura is studying painting at the Art Academy in London.
