A COMMUNITY OF ARTISTS IN FIVEWAYS BRIGHTON

Fiveways is a locality in Brighton high up on a hill above the city and centred around the intersection of Preston Drove and Ditchling Road. It is an area renowned for the number of Artist residents living and working closely together. The May 2018 Artists Open Houses Festival will run weekends 5th to 27th May.

These #TilesonTuesday are in the Colonnade toilets on #Brighton seafront. A nice surving touch of Jazz Age #ArtDeco design in a functional building. That vivid green just speaks to me from the #1930s

Orlando, written at Monk's House, was published 90 years ago today.

“I am the guardian of the sleeping fawn; the snow is dear to me; and the moon rising; and the silver sea.”

Advance copies of The Farmer’s Year by Clare Leighton have arrived and it looks fantastic. At £12.00 it’s a steal! Thrilled to have this wonderful book available again. We’ll have copies here by the beginning of November.
